Testimonial - Kadnook Kennels

We are very keen to let everyone know our opinion of EAGLEPACK. We began using EAGLEPACK about 9 years ago, shortly after it arrived in Australia and on the recommendation of our Sports Medicine vet, the late, great Dr Alex Hauler, a Veterinary Chiropractor.

After feeding the product for 3 weeks we decided we would not feed the dogs any other food, their improvement was remarkable, their stamina was much improved, as most of our dogs work as gundogs and spend long hours in the paddock and in the water, we were very aware of their  need for stamina. Their coats shone with good health, they muscled up better with less fat and were much more focused in their training. To us, this indicated their nutrition had improved and they felt well. Concentration is affected greatly by niggling gaps in nutritional requirements.

As breeders and trainers for the past forty years of very functional working and show dogs and most importantly, family members, we are conscious of the correct nutrition being the cornerstone of successful training and the necessary athleticism to compete at high levels of work and the conditioning appropriate for the show ring and the ideal family pet where temperament is essential. The contentment of the dogs is noticeable and therefore once again we see the reflection on temperament of EAGLE PACK’S superior nutritional values.

Raz

The first litter we reared on EAGLE PACK produced beautifully solid pups.   They were not fat. Fat puppies can make delivery so difficult for the bitches at whelping time.  We have not had a caesarean delivery since using EAGLE PACK. From this first EAGLE PACK reared litter we retained a male pup  and he became Aust. Ch. Kadnook Wild and Free NRD (Raz), a winner in the showring and in the Retrieving Trial scene.

We have observed over the years, an improvement in general health and wellbeing is obvious, less visits to the vet, more robust dogs. When competing in Trials their stamina has really stood them in good stead and they have been able to summon the energy to continue no matter how fatigued they may become. In the show ring, they shine with good health and look the part as a show dog should. In the pet situation, all their nutritional needs are met with EAGLE PACK as the basis of their diet. The variety of formulas available makes meeting each individual dog’s requirements very straightforward.

We have just made up our 111th show champion; AUST. CH. KADNOOK STRIKE THE GOLD (Macca), naturally he is an EAGLEPACK dog and a grandson of ‘Raz’, making him a third generation EAGLEPACK Kadnook Labrador.

Testimonial - Coco and Oscar

When I met Oscar and Coco (and their human Maria) both dogs had very sparse hair on their lower back. Both dogs suffered from allergies and Oscar had bitten his back so many times that it was often bloody and Coco had her lower back taped to stop further damage occurring. Maria was beside herself as to what to do to help the dogs and was keen to trial the Anchovy, Salmon and Sardine Dog Formula. Three months down the track and the dogs have thick luxurious coats with no sign of coat distress, they are also much happier not constantly scratching.

Testimonial - Lily and Sophie
In addition to the two labs I have owned since they were pups, we have adopted a number of other Labradors. Lily, a yellow girl who was severely mis-treated before being dumped in a drain to die arrived terribly skinny and I spent months trying to put weight on her. A good friend of mine, from Tasmania, had used Eagle Pack Power Formula for her skinny Dalmatian with fabulous results and so the hunt began for an Eagle Pack stockist here in Sydney. A month went by and Lily’s over all condition improved considerably, her coat had a lustre that it had previously lacked and her ribs had begun to disappear. I was so thrilled with the product that I decided to switch my other two labs to Eagle Pack as well and we generally purchased a flavour from the holistic range.

I took another dog into care, in quite poor condition, and in an effort to put weight on her reasonably quickly I decided to feed her the Eagle Pack Power that I was using for Lily. I was seriously amazed with the results. In less than three weeks Sophie looked fabulous, her coat had come from what I would call thin and scruffy looking to thick and shiny and her eyes were bright and clear. It wasn’t until I saw such a significant improvement in Sophie that I decided I could no longer compromise the health of the other dogs in my care by feeding them anything less than Eagle Pack. As a result I began feeding all of the dogs Eagle Pack about 12 months ago and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. It goes without saying that my food bill for the labbies is a little more than it may have been previously but with such fit and healthy dogs I am not complaining!

Attached are a few pictures of some of the dogs that we have helped to find new homes for since using Eagle Pack. We generally re-home between forty and fifty labs each year which combined with full time work can keep us quite busy!

Testimonial - lorek

Iorek’s coat – this clearly shows the difference in what the right feeding regime will do. Dogs need the right fats and other ingredients in their diet to maintain good coat colour. This trial was done on Iorek as he is a chocolate Labrador. Iorek was being feed a lesser brand so he was ripe for the feed trail to prove our theory. Just look at the before and after results.

Testimonial - Rhodesian Ridgeback

At age 8 weeks, Rhodesian Ridgeback pup weighed in at 3.5 kgs.

At age 8 weeks and 3 days noticeable deformity in growth to his front legs (in particular the right leg) and within 2 further days the deformity presented as quite alarming. Weaning process from original diet to Eagle Pack not complete at this stage.

Presentation to the Vet and Physiotherapist confirmed the condition as Carpal Laxity Syndrome’ (CLS) a condition generally peculiar to large breed puppies.   Advice given was to maintain puppy strictly on the Eagle Pack (Large Breed Puppies) – the Holistic “Select” being my preferred choice. Swimming exercise recommended, although this was necessarily delayed until after puppy vaccinations were completed.

Rhodesian Ridgeback pup at 9.5 weeks - note Carpal Laxity Syndrome in right leg and to a lesser extent left leg         Rhodesian Ridgeback pup at 9.5 weeks - note Carpal Laxity Syndrome in right leg and to a lesser extent left leg

Maintained very strict protocol – nothing outside of Eagle Pack was permitted during the process of further growth in those early weeks although after a short period, a variety of raw vegetables were used as alternative ‘treats’ and as something on which pup could chew.

Gradual improvement noticed over the next  6 weeks or so.  Some readings on CLS suggest that the condition can be resolved in 2 weeks.  However perhaps in this pup’s case it was more extreme and it did take the full 6 weeks before his legs could be considered as having straightened, with further improvement still evident inside the 6-8 week period.

Pup has been steadily gaining weight and condition throughout – necessary although not to the sacrifice of his joints and ligament growth, which needs to be slow but steady.

Note improvement in inflexion after feeding with Eagle PackPup is now 18.5 weeks of age and although I remain cautious with his diet to ensure that his front leg ligaments are given time to continue to grow and strengthen, pup is now glowing with health, his gleaming coat and stamina a testimonial to this.

There is still some outer flexion affecting his front legs but you’ll see from these two following recent photo’s that by comparison to earlier weeks this is vastly minimal and I am confident that the condition will continue to improve with time and careful consideration to diet.

Note improvement in inflexion after feeding with Eagle Pack.

Pup’s CLS condition had the potential to require surgery at some later date even though the prognosis for recovery with a quality and carefully structured diet was good.  This has been achieved with the feeding of the appropriate Eagle Pack food.

At some later stage I will include natural raw foods to pup’s diet and as a consequence will adjust the quantity and frequency of feeding the Eagle Pack kibble.  But I am thankful that we do have this good quality commercial product to fall back on when the balance of nutritional factors require a degree of precision in delivery.

Testimonial - Buster and Charlie

BusterJust writing to let you know that Darren provided literature and a free sample of dried food for my cats.  Both enjoyed it, especially the fat one, and I will be looking to purchase some dried food for them when they run out of Purina. As a microbiologist I was particularly interested in the probiotics and micro-organism culture ingredients.  I tried the food myself (honestly) and found it to be quite palatable for humans too.

Despite being fed fresh meat they also love canned food, so I will be trying the Eaglepack canned food as well (although I can assure you that I wont be tasting that myself).

Poor old Charlie seems to mostly gets his rear end photographed!

Buster - looking particularly handsome!

Nice product, thanks
Alison (and Charlie and Buster)
